pony, but what if bunny..... [ #WIP #MyLittlePony #MLP #art ]

A screenshot of Clip Studio Paint. On the canvas is Twilight Sparkle from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic as a jackalope, and next to her are two references; one of a European hare and another of a pronghorn. The watermark on the illustration says "Rara Avis."

My project, whispering aspens is nearing it’s third year. The show is about a schizophrenic, who after getting abandoned, tries to make new friends, only they can't tell if their new friend is actually a shapeshifting monster or not. www.youtube.com/playlist?lis... #IndieAnimationDay

Made a chart from a normal rabbit all the way to a true whisper. For those who don’t know whispers are shapeshifters who kidnap people. #indieanimation #conceptart

Just in case you missed it, the actual show will be in the style below! There’s many reasons for this but the big one is I’m just not used to animating humans and animating the pilot is just fun NOT for me. Not to mention the puppets are an absolute pain to work with. #indieanimation

youtu.be/mi4fTwk7Kck Part 3 of the whispering aspens pilot came out today! Since it’s super short I’ll also give you this, the beginning stages of a short. A short where Payton isn’t sure if telling Pizookie about their schizophrenia was a good idea.

A cartoon bunny and a bat sit on a bench over looking the city. It's dawn, the sky is bluish green and some stars are still out. The bat is nervous while the bunny sits back relaxed.

Finally some actual animation! As you can see it's not fully rigged yet but I think live2d will work for the show. once I get everyone rigged of course. tbh I might hire someone to help me rig everyone. #indieanimation #wip #live2d

Since the shorts are suppose to be comfy and cozy, I'm going to start making them with animal versions of the cast instead. The actual show will remain the same. (major spoiler reason for keeping two of them with their natural skin tone btw, actually there's a lot of spoilery decisions here)

So many of us make great things that aren’t top-tier-popular, but are awesome nonetheless. They’re appreciated more quietly by a smaller amount of people, but are enjoyed regardless and are worth being proud of!

Second whispering aspens short came out yesterday! I know it's not the best, the goal was to show how mundane hallucinations can be. I don't always see the scary stuff, some times it's silly. #indieanimation #schizophrenia youtu.be/6WAhw9vouaE

Fun story and potential tip for artists: find a load boarding follower or two. When my account was brand new and less than 10 people knew I existed I had one follower who would like almost every piece I made. I appreciated his support so much that my partner knew his screenname- 🧵

As I see more friends fall victim to this discord hack, I remind people that if someone asks you to download their new game out of the blue, right now, because it will only take a couple minutes, after "catching up" for a minute It's a hack, and they will take over once you download that file.
