I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

An aircraft passenger oxygen mask: a drop down passenger mask with air bag and yellow plastic mouth and nose cover, oxygen tube has been cut; Demonstration model used by flight attendant crew for passenger instruction. Has text on the side indicating that it's non-functional.

PIRATESHIP USERS ➡️📦 Because of the shipping price change for rural zip codes being more expensive now, PirateShip has graciously made a list of zip codes the USPS considers rural so you can know if you're going to be charged more: docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

email directly from PirateShip customer support:

"Ahoy Captain 👋

Thank you for reaching out to Pirate Ship earlier! I'm so sorry that we missed you. We are all hands (and hooks) on deck today 🏴‍☠️

We totally hear you about these USPS rate changes and wanting to have a distinct way to know what rate to expect. The best way is always going to be to use the rates calculator - you'll know it isn't rural if you see "Below Commercial Pricing" as shown here:

That being said, thanks to users like you reaching out to us about wanting an actual list of zip codes, our captains went to work and put together a resource! If you click this link here you'll be able to view specific zip codes that USPS classifies as rural 💪

I hope this helps get you to smoother waters! Just hoist y'er flag if ye be needin' anything else! We'll be here on deck."

Open heart conversation, happy pride?

Two panels of a comic with no text. The first panel shows an anthromorphic mouse woman watching a rat man take his shirt off, showing scars on his upper chest associated with gender affirming top surgery. The second panel zooms in, she looks surprised as the rat man's abdomen reveals six other scars, lining up with what were once multiple nipples like you'd expect on a real rat.

Thre panel comic. First panel, the mouse touches the rat's chest. Dialogue: Rusty, I had no idea. The second panel they bashfully look away from one another. The third panel, the mouse gazes up earnestly at the rat. Dialogue: It must be hard to have a heart that sucks shit so bad... my uncle won't stop complaining about his one open heart surgery.

There's a lot of cool software to help artists, but one I adore and never see talked about is Head Model Studio It's been one of the most helpful tools in my kit for a year now For full access, it's paid (23USD/year or 50USD for lifetime access) but they continue to update and expand regularly (1/4)

Here are 543 images (1.5GB) of items at the Philadelphia Museum of Art arms and armor exhibit You're free to use them for anything, even commercially. I tried to focus on details not usually represented in available reference material drive.google.com/file/d/1NRzg... Here's a small sampling:

A closeup view of an ornate cuirass and tasset, showing heart-shaped designs along the edges of the metal panels.

An extremely ornate ceremonial halberd head showing etched and blackened designs with various plants, mythical creatures, and heraldic designs.

A closeup of the shoulder intersection of the cuirass, pauldron, and bevor of a piece of 1500s field armor. Some ornate etching of the crucifixion is visible in the lower right corner on the cuirass.

okay i was INFORMED i had never posted my drow (incognito moon elf) rogue's tokens fully either and his fans wanted to see him #art

Image of two artworks intended for use as virtual Dungeons and Dragons game tokens. Both artworks are of the same elf character, who is posed flaunting a six-sided die while holding a knife behind his back. The character has a very scrappy looking appearance with a silver tooth, tattered ears, piercings, red glasses, and a trench coat. On the left, he's portrayed as a drow with white hair and purple skin. On the right is his disguised form which depicts him as a moon elf who has black hair and blue skin.

Image of three artworks meant to be used as player tokens in a virtual Dungeons & Dragons game. The first token is of a Fire Genasi character who is a Grave Domain Cleric, who has flaming hair with gleaming spectacles and is swinging an incense brazier. The second is of a Lizardfolk Shadow Monk, who resembles an iguana in appearance and is grinning mischievously while holding a gourd full of liquor. The third is a Dragonborn who is a Oath of Vengeance Paladin, who has a shadowy appearance resembling a Deep Dragon, and is holding a spiked two-handed warhammer.

I know calling reps is very nerve racking. You're not sure what's the right thing to say, and tbh having a script thrown at me makes things just as nerve racking. I called today, and I figured I'd write up a transcript of how my call went down. Hopefully it helps demystify the process

Office Rep: Hello! this is the office for congressman Billy Bob. How May I help you?

Me: Hey my name is (Gov. name) from (residing city). I had some concerns.

Office Rep: Sure thing I can pass on a message!

Me: Are you familiar with this ongoing push for these online safety laws?

Office Rep: Hmm...Is there a particular bill or law that it involves?

Me: A few actually!

Office Rep: Go ahead!

Me: the KIDS Act, Kids online safety act (KOSA), the Screen Act, Sammy's Law, and the App Store Accountability Act

Office Rep: Got it!

Me: I strongly oppose these laws and I urge Billy Bob to vote no when these bills are up for vote. They do nothing to actually protect children and are just a cover to suppress free speech.

Also There's been a bipartisan push to end section 230. I think Section 230 should be protected since it's important for online free speech. I'm not a fan of this speed running of a surveillance state happening
right now. Have you noticed that?

Office Rep: (Chuckles) Okay, I have it all written down and I'll make sure Billy Bob gets the message. Thank you for calling!

Me: Thank you for listening.
