This is about as bad as it gets. A SecDef who's increasingly unhinged and power mad building a team of loyalists and excising any opposition. Generally speaking, I do not feel safer having fewer generals and admirals! Again, even at basic corporate speak, we're losing institutional knowledge.

How long would you want to work there? How long would it remain a good workplace? Best case, his cronies are somewhat capable and things stumble along on corporate inertia. Worst case it folds within weeks. And remember, any logical worst case scenario is the stated goal of Project 2025.
