This will make the web address text box the Y2K google search engine! In Chrome, some of the titles of the sections are different, but are thematically similar. You don’t add another search engine, though, you just turn off AI results, exit the browser and restart it.

For Microsoft Edge: settings>privacy, search, and services>search and connected services>address bar and search>click on “add search engine”>call it google Y2K>type https:\\www.google.com/search?q=%s&udm=14>click three dots beside it in the list of search engines, and finally click “make default”

This is the part that confuses me most about Christian theology. Hating the group of Jews that handed him over to the Romans, or hating Judas for betraying him seems pointless because those actions enabled his apotheosis into Godhead. They are crucial to that metaphysical passage.

A lot of huge branches and trunks ended up in the basin of the yacht club I work at. Do you know how hard it is to lift waterlogged logs out of the water from a boat? Ask my tense and sore back. They became regular navigation hazards for boats.

I learned this in my Masters in English Lit degree. The first few pages of an internet search don’t cut it. I’ve lost access to academic databases. Don’t believe me, it makes no difference to me.

I don’t know, but I know Jane Eyre has inspired some incredible and sophisticated critical writing. Music as a form generates the worst critical writing in the free weeklies (with a few exceptions of course). Or at least, my least favourite critical writing. Woebegone pleonasms, all over the place.

There has been as many as 4 different expulsions from England. Edward’s had long softened by the time Elizabeth expelled them again. Otherwise, The Merchant of Venice wouldn’t have been such a topical play.

I’m sure Elizabeth I expelled them too. Jewish expulsions are a crazy history topic. It happened so much. Christians basically used Jews as usury proxies throughout the history of Europe, then they turned around and stereotyped them for that, despite legally constraining them so much.

This is just a reminder that if you’ve read #Rumi in English, no you haven’t. Not because of pure linguistic fidelity, but rather his main translator minimized the islam in his poetry for an American audience. Islam is central to his poetry.
