One of Magics strengths is its community-developed tools. Riftbound does not have a Scryfall equivalent. It barely has a Moxfield equivalent. Pokémon and Yu-Gi-Oh's takes on both largely suck to use. And NO ONE has a marketplace like MtG, that has Manapool, that isn't TCGPlayer

Wanted to see what my fairly raw mile looked like. Not horrible for an out of shape 30 something, and a decent starting baseline. Lots of room to improve, which is cool. Pushed myself to run faster after each time I took a break to fast walk. Light weight lifting afterwards 💪 am ver tired

While I did enjoy prerelease for Fractured Reality, I have to say: I still despise play boosters. I cracked a total of 1 mythic, 6 rares, one of which was a land. My two friends sitting with me each had multiple double and/or triple rare packs and ended up with far more juice.

Yesterday's workout before Riftbound. Hopped on the treadmill in my short window between work and Skirmish. Not great time-wise, but i did a neat little workout that auto adjusted my incline every 30 seconds. I bumped my speed up to have a short run included every few minutes. I'll get to 5k soon 💪

I've never been to any big events (PTs, GPs, RCQs) but I consistently win or come in second for my local Standard Showdowns, have won a Store Championship, and have won several local commander and cEDH events. Too bad I like Riftbound now. 5/10

Last week was weird and I didn't work out much so I bumped my base resistance up and pushed a little harder today. Feeling really good about this honestly. It was a good workpit followed by 15-20 minutes of weights. I'm beat but it feels killer 🤘

Magic players who view Riftbound as an "easy" game because RNG has a much less likely chance of fucking you over need to chill. If you think winning or losing games because you or your opponent couldn't "draw well" and got flooded/screwed is fun and healthy, please shut up.

Played Riftbound again tonight with some buds at the LGS. This game is genuinely so much fun. I played a janky little Rek'Sai "Up-the-Beanstalk-at-home" featuring Fresh Beans and some "flash" threats. Lost a best of 3 in 3 and a multiplayer game, won the last multiplayer game. Deck is super fun 🤘

Did something different today. Don't wanna be a one trick pony. No bike today, treadmill instead. Did a 4-3 interval (4 minutes on incline, 3 minutes flat) at 3ish MPH average, with a couple of 3 minutes runs mixed in. Nothing crazy, but felt good to work some different muscles
