He has made extensive use of British prisoner interrogations-- notes that they tail off by 1944, largely because anti-submarine warfare (mostly from the air) was by then so devastatingly effective that most losses were total. Boats w very young conscript crews & inexperienced officers lost 1st trip.

Tough. We have an online booking system -- apply between 8 and 12, GP triage, usually get same-day appointment. Last Friday was a record -- applied just before 12, saw practice physio (hadn't asked for a doc, & she was better for a hand injury anyway) at 3-15. Thought all practices were doing this.

We were evidently a bit early. BTW, have you read Roger Moorhouse, _Wolfpack_? Good, German-focused history of the U-Boat War. After 1942, seems to have been an enormous waste of people and resources, esp given the tendency to fritter away U-boats in the wrong places. Cannot imagine 75% casualties.

Given that both companies are heavily indebted — a large part of their problems, given that the owners have supplied so little equity capital — somebody should tell the Greens that debts cannot be wiped out quite so easily as they imagine that equity stakes, even in an insolvent company, can.

I had a fall last week, didn’t want to go to A&E—not serious enough damage to be worth awful experience—so asked my practice via their online appointment booking system if I cd see somebody to do triage, advise if needed X-Ray. Saw practice physio 3 hrs later, answer No, trip to A&E saved, Thanks!

I figured out, at age 65 in 2016, that that was it for the rest of my life — my identity as a European severely compromised, & the legal status stripped away. All the future one could look forward to. Still true today, 10 years nearer the end. At least that will bring deliverance from the Shitters.
