It's tough to get them to spend on anything that isn't perceived as permanent power but, they can only use so much. One sword at a time, one foci at a time, 3 attunements at a time, and action economy choking out anything not "the best." Things just drift to the bottom of the bag

I also thought maybe a caster would take some as a filler item for when spell slots are low. Alas, no takers. Folks were really into permanent/reusable power or bust. Even when drowning in gold. Maybe these weren't sexy enough? Or maybe there were just better buys at the time. I wonder.

A fighter with 3 attacks + action surge could've ripped off 6d4+6+30 onto a single target with 12d6 splash damage going out. Sure, that would've cost 600gp worth of glass daggers, but sometimes stuff's gotta die RIGHT NOW. (avg) 51 on-target + 54 splash is a lot of juice. 2/

The 24 hour rolling window on the conch's information gathering is fun because it forces players to keep an eye on when important conversations will happen and then they must access the conch sooner rather than a safe later. The whispered question angle is to prevent accidental activation.

The river is flooded badly and the bridge is on the verge of collapse. The players can wait out the storm, risk it for the biscuit, stabilize the bridge somehow, or whatever. Falling into the water is going to be bad. STR save vs Bludgeoning and being swept downstream.
