New Vegas leaderboards now allow a mod that replaces loading screens with a black image. huge accessibility W. you no longer get flashbanged every half second for minutes at a time.

There were talks recently in this channel about removing load screens to help with light sensitivity issues. Kung quickly made replacement load screens and after some discussion they're now allowed for use in runs.

In our testing we've found each load to be slightly faster while using them. It can be anywhere from 1 frame to several frames of difference. Also, after the initial main menu image the background will be blank because it cycles through load screens.

This texture change is NOT mandatory. I recommend you try it for yourself and see if you like using them. This is currently the only texture replacement allowed.

To install them, download the Replacement Load Screens from the patches section of the resources tab. Unzip then drag and drop the Data folder into your game installation folder.

To uninstall them, delete the Textures folder inside of the Data folder.
