New teaser dropped for #MetroidPrime4, giving a first look at psychic gameplay! It's such a fun and incredible mechanic, the team at Retro Studios did a killer job. This glimpse is just the tip of the iceberg. Stay tuned. 😉

Fun easter egg in the upcoming Invincible S3E6 episode -- I'm one of Omni Man's victims! In another universe, I was killed when he and Invincible fought in Season 1. 😂

When did Amazon start making 4am deliveries? Was just woke up by incessant doorbell buzzing and phone calls for a package delivery. It was just a micellar water refill! Nobody needs that at this hour. 😩

I'd really like to write a musical. Anyone have experience finding a partner to help with melodies and orchestration? I have experience writing song lyrics but would like to actually collab with a musician.

I think it's great that Bluesky has had this huge growth, for the art scene in particular. unsolicited advice: if you are an artist building a platform, use this time to guide people to a blog or newsletter *you* own so that in 5 years when Bluesky sucks, it won't take your entire audience with it!

Conversely, as much as I loved THE COLORS WITHIN, I am disappointed they didn't commit to the sapphic love story. Kimi x Totsuko all the way.

Got to see the American premier of Naoko Yamada's THE COLORS WITHIN. Such a beautiful, heartfelt film. The teenaged characters are so vibrant and funny and genuine. It's hard not to love them. Her story about "discovering feelings you don't yet have a name for" really resonated with me.

Recently learned that Hayao Miyazaki was the most commercially unsuccessful anime director at 40. He didn't achieve greatness until later in life. His story is a nice reminder that everything and everyone has their own time. Especially in a world with so much pressure to succeed at a young age.

Honestly, the sooner you can unlearn jealousy and envy as reactions to others’ success, the better off you’ll be. There are better ways to motivate yourself to succeed than hoping that your peers don’t.

How about some Animaniacs storyboards & finals? (Sorry for the low quality.) These are from "Mousechurian Candidate." I drew a lot from The Rescuers Down Under and similar titles for inspiration.

A storyboard from the Animaniacs 2020 reboot. Julia, the moral antithesis to Brain, recovering and in hiding, sits at her workstation at which she monitors Pinkie and Brain. It is cobbled together from cellphones, an old handheld gaming system, and a 9V battery.

The same shot as previous, but cleaned up and looking extra fancy and pretty, as it is a screenshot of the episode that went to air. Everything is more or less exactly as it is in the boards. Good job, everyone!

A storyboard from the same Animaniacs 2020 episode, "Mousechurian Candidate." Julia stands at the entrance to her hidden lab. Her shadow stretches dramatically, filling the lit space between piles and piles of makeshift working areas. She has cobbled everything together using discarded junk: a plastic water bottle, now bubbling with something that doesn't look like water at all, an upright smartphone showing flight patterns, a string of christmas lights goes down the length of the ceiling, a bullet with Brain's name carved into it, various circuitry and wires which await a purpose, and a hanging watch face functions as a wall clock.

The same shot as previous, but the version as it aired in the final episode. This shot is much less cluttered - a lava lamp stands in place of the water bottle, and the bullet with Brain's name is omitted. There are smaller changes around the room that make more sense compusitionally and structurally. Good job again, everyone!

Welcome to Bluesky, we have rules here: 1. Don’t pick up the phone. You know he’s only calling ‘cause he’s drunk and alone 2. Don’t let him in. You’ll have to kick him out again. 3. Don’t be his friend. You know you’re gonna wake up in his bed in the mornin.

LOVED Barbie Act 1. The style and design choices made me so nostalgic. It really felt like we were watching someone play with Barbies. The ambulance opening up like the toy set? Brilliant. I just wish it carried through the rest of the movie. It felt like we lost a lot of that in the middle.
