Over the moon that one of the struggling narrow-leaf milkweeds I planted now hosts a small group of monarch caterpillars! I didn’t expect to get any this year, it’s my first year growing milkweed.

These prickly pears grow all over the dunes in Indiana. Many years ago the county mowed down a patch of them along the side of the road. I took some of the cuttings back with me, unsure if they’d survive. They just bloomed their first bloom! #BloomScrolling

This little pup has managed to stay dry despite wearing so much drip. 12/10

The transcription tool I use for customer interviews sanitized my convo with a customer who curses frequently and colorfully. I added every profanity back in because it’s important to me that my team hear our customers in their own words. Even the blue ones. 😆💙

All probationary federal employees at NOAA’s EMC that’s responsible for keeping all US weather model systems running have been fired with 1 hours notice. And that includes me and colleagues. We will not go quietly because we care about the NOAA mission to protect the public.

Cuts to NOAA will devastate our emergency preparedness. Because of the people at NOAA, we can warn people of severe weather, allow them to get to safety. In 1990, I was on my school bus when a storm that spawned an F5 tornado hit. There was no warning. We were ok, but 29 people a town over died.
