TraceWolf @tracewolf.bsky.social · 05/09/2026

Hi there! Today is a new day. So choose to live! Look around you. Actually pay attention to what you see. Choose to care about what you say and do. Be kind to all, especially yourself. Be curious about *everything*! Explore, have fun! Whoever you may be, I love you. Don't forget to love yourself. ❤️

the townsfolk speak of her in hushed tones between bong rips art by @tracewolf.bsky.social

A drawing of a canine with enlongated maned-wolf-like legs, uncanny proportions, and border collie coloration. The kind of thing that makes you go; what? The canine-thing looks as though it is a mix of rigid and fluid as its eyes reflect white and stare back at the viewer. They look almost metallic in the photo. Text above the creature says "Hi I am just a normal dog and I can be trusted around your exposed neck~". The drawing has sharp contrast and warm tint (color corrected by request of the artist). The dog within has innumerable secrets. The audience has new nightmares. Everybody wins.

a note to everyone and especially myself, in the least dire way possible: the only way forward is to continue!! all that matters is that you keep going!!!! guilt and pain and heartache are not things that you need to carry around! just keep going!

sniff kiss 🦊💕 www.patreon.com/rometwin

GwenFox is sitting on a desk chair with a pencil in hand, leaning back with her legs kicked up on the bed with a desk in the background behind her.

Text: As I get older living life away from family; with some passing away, I miss the tangible little things.

Flashback to years back - GwenFox is standing at an open sliding door, with her grandma in the foreground folding napkins.

Text: When visiting my Bà Nội (paternal grandma), she used to greet me with a 'sniff kiss'.

The colors have changed in the scene, everyhting is a variaiton of pink. Gwen's Bà Nội sniffs her cheek and hand, then kisses it. Emphasis is put on Gwen's hand being squeezed, with various lines projecting out of the hand.

Text: She'd sniff my cheek...sniff my hand...kiss my hand, then squeeze it gently.

Cut back to present day. It's night time now, with the room being completely dark - but not sad. Gwen looks upon her drawing tablet with a soft smile on her face as we can see an alter in honor of her Bà Nội in the background.

Text: She didn't speak much English. and I spoke even less Vietnamese. But that was her way of saying she loved me. As I get older, I don't want to be sad that the little things are gone. I'm trying to be happy that they happened at all.

No. This is somewhere to be. This is all you have, but it's still something. Streets and sodium lights. The sky, the world. You're still alive.

I received this incredible piece from @godbirdart.bsky.social last night. They did an amazing job, especially in capturing a very complex feeling. Thank you again!

An anthropomorphic wolfdog gazes into a blue sky with an expression somewhere between sadness and hope. The background is a dilapidated building that has been overgrown with foliage.

🔹 Entropy 🔹 9" x 12" mixed media on reclaimed panel. Probably my most important painting from last year. A wolf made of falling apart, a radical and fierce acceptance of the decay and change of self, of becoming a part of everything else. Original sold, prints available: sasharjones.com/store

A painting of a wolf's face staring straight on at the viewer with an intense expression. Sharp strips of color make up the face of the wolf, but as those strips radiate away from the center, they lose form, as though the wolf is coming apart.

🔹 special power 🔹 mixed media painting this piece was an expression of a desire, almost a prayer— to find your special power, your inner reserve of potential, or the power to make change in yourself or the world around you, to hold that capability in your hand in and in your heart.

A painting of a hooded anthro figure crouching down and grounding their clawed palm on the ground in a powerful gesture, with light and color flowing up through their arm. The drawing of the figure is simple and gestural, but rich with texture and atmosphere.

「 boys don't cry 」 about suppressed emotions, downplayed heartaches, and the expectations to remain stoically self reliant without the community and connection needed to help open the paths away from isolated self destruction.
