Getting a bit sick of the narrative that Chelsea FC received a lenient punishment because they self-reported. Many of the offshore payments exposed by the Guardian and media partners were not self-reported (possibly because the new owners didn't know, although we can't be sure of that).

I think “fitness issues” is a way of saying “we have flogged the players to death by rushing them back in the past three seasons, so we are going to be much more cautious, rotate and manage minutes for months”, rather than “they’re all permacrocked or unfit”

First half hour yesterday was the best football I’ve seen at the stadium for ages. Same people who didn’t have the mental fortitude for a relegation scrap don’t have it for a transitional season. It’s not there yet but at some point it’ll click and we’ll be fine #COYS
