Hospitals shutting down care in preemptive compliance with the Trump administration is cowardice. All this will do is move care to individual providers where trans youth will not have access to large interdisciplinary teams. It won’t stop care, but it will hurt patients.

Hey y'all,

My husband and I have been wrestling through this here immigration process, and although we're loathe to ask, we need a bit of help.

The next step is readjustment of status, and comes with a whopping $1,440 filing fee. With how long and expensive this process has been, the numbers bleed together and all we can say is 'aw fuck'.

Right now, this is a price that cuts past our safety net and puts us in a pretty shit position. And it's something we have to do before March, when my visa expires.

I can't work, and my husband is handling it the best he can, but with other fees on top of this, we're asking for a bit of help. I've set a goal tracker on my Ko-Fi page to raise some funds to kick this bill in the teeth and give us the stability we've tried maintaining through this whole process. Any help is appreciated, be it a couple of bucks, or a share.

Major breaking trans news: The States of Washington, Minnesota, and Oregon have sued the Trump administration to block it from enforcing a national gender affirming care ban for those under 19 years of age. This is the second major lawsuit over Trump's trans ban EO. Docs to come.
