A dangerous trap I fall into: believing that witnessing horrible things means that enjoying anything is immoral. It’s not. It’s just punishing myself for no benefit. That kind of thinking has ruined so many things for me: movies, tv, games, books. It also makes me exhausting to talk to.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had an incredible run of iconic movies in the 80s, but I’d argue his last decent project was True Lies. Even then I don’t think it’s great, there are just some fun elements mixed in with the mess.
