[ content warning for eye-strain ] Complex feelings about competitive. #splatoon #oc #compsplatoon

TW: Eyestrain
7 panel comic featuring my splatoon OC, Daze. The first panels start with a saturated negative shape language showing ink splatters and as you descend the page the saturation is reduced to greyscale. The panels flip between scenes from competitive solo queue to a sobering conversation between Daze and a random competitor covering his fears as a competitor falling behind. The script is as follows:
Daze: "We had seen it happen semi-often--teams around us getting unwarranted antagonization. It made stagnation a death sentence. The pressure to improve drove a lot of them to see more differences amongst themselves and to eventually disband."
"So I have to improve somehow. I want to have the best chances of that never happening to us. I wouldn't be here without my team. I wouldn't be this happy. I owe it to them. What if I can't even win for them? What then?"
"I just don't really want to know what I'm like... without them."

I need my friends to know that DTX is not my event. I'm just the event producer for it. @goowapa.bsky.social is doing all of the boring admin/ planning stuff (the important stuff). It's his event and he should get the credit. Too many people acting like it's my event. I'm just doing the marketing.

my #deltarune fanart, ultimate strategic brilliance one billion

art of Seth and Aqua from deltarune. Seth says "WAIT YES! My brilliant strategies! Aqua, I've figured them out!! AQUA STAB THEM TO DEATH WITH KNIVES AND SHARP OBJECTS" Aqua, traced over a stock photo in the bg, says uuuu okay yay :D. Susie is in a speech bubble looking anguished, saying "fuuuuuck kris our one weakness!!!"

To anyone that sees this, please dont salt post about hyperdive or about one of my friends or i, especially right after we ran into each other in x rank. It may not seem like a big deal to you, but it happens so much and can unironically create a dog pile on us for existing. Thank you

Texas passed an age assurance law that requires Bluesky to verify the age of users. This law was paused by a judge and then unpaused by an appeals court, so we are preparing to comply. If you saw an age assurance notice today, that's why. Read about the law here: ccianet.org/news/2026/05...

So- those who live in texas now have to "verify" to be able to even login to their account, this is due to a new law in texas that every site that may have sexual content needs to have this "security measure" in order to even do anything in that site. Which includes social media, aka bsky 🧵

I am not made for Capitalism. Every relationship I have feels cheapened and dehumanized by the exchange of money. Everything becomes a hollow experience because it is meted out by an arbitrary quantification of worth. It makes me feel as if the only true emotion or relational value is exploitation
