Sometimes authors need to chill out and, dare I say, grow up a little. You're not entitled to a 5 star review. Just because someone leaves you a 1, 2, 3, or 4 star review doesn't mean it's the end of the world. An honest review or critical review is not the same as a mean review.

Your monthly reminder: Keep writing. When no one cares, persist. When things appear to be crumbling, keep at it. When it's difficult, push through. When you feel alone, listen to the stories in your blood. Just write. The world needs you to tell your truth through your words.

I always read the acknowledgements, and writing them is actually one of my favorite parts of the publishing process. I love going back and seeing all the amazing people in my life who helped get me to the finished novel. :D
