Language arose from intelligence and not the other way around. LLMs are not intelligent - just artificial because they’re based on language processing. For human beings, language is not intelligence - it’s merely how we communicate. #AI is like making an Ethernet port and calling it a “computer”.

For balance they should write a piece about a fossil-fuelled car with insufficient fuel in the tank unable to fill up when the bowser has no electricity.

Doesn’t this apply to many other multinationals - mining, military bases, fossil gas, foreign govt interests etc…. None of them are accountable to Australians.

Does everyone who was alive last year forget what happens when time zones switch for summer? The population of online news readers must be stupid to need to read this - or else the online journalist/editor at ABC News is in need of a “story”.

Isn’t this what Instagram make their money from? Ever since it was bought by Meta I no longer scroll down when I open it - just look at story reels from my contacts & then close/skip any ad reels. Five minutes a day and I’m done! I avoid Facebook & deleted WhatsApp when they wanted my contacts.

How about opt-in for ads & algorithmic feeds and a paid subscription model only for those that opt-in (i.e. those wanting to see this content pay - everyone else just gets to see what friends & family members post). We need to break the advertising and influencing business model of big tech. #auspol

It could have been a very smart, exciting and world-first energy policy initiative. But now we can see the results, it’s clear that Solar Sharer has gone terribly wrong.

It seems we are funding the US & UK military instead of looking after our own people. $368 billion wasted. No submarines. Building bases & housing for foreign military. Imaginary threats from that career political hack that represents myself and the other 123,000 voters of Shortland. Vote him out.

I’m nostalgic for AltaVista search from the 90s. Google's enshittified search-results are a choice. Those ad-strewn, sub-Altavista, spam-drowned search pages are a feature, not a bug. They prefer their results because they make more money out of shit than they would out of delivering a good product.

My guess is it’s the gambling ad revenue that is funding these TV rights… but the ads should go. Fund this from games ticket sales and gambling company profits instead.
