What a lot of people don’t understand is that Christianity has may sects including Evangelical Christianity which is built on prosperity theology plus a bunch of other tenets and beliefs that are far from Catholic beliefs and tenets.

I received an anxiety filled text message from my 17 year old brown son today because of this. ICE has been causing mayhem and violence in our city all day with help from local police. My brown children who were born here are staying home. FUCK ICE!

As this was happening my brown son texted me full of anxiety because ICE decided it would be a great thing to be at the high school. I had to tell my brown daughter to not go downtown or anywhere b/c they will take anyone without cause.

It was amazing in some ways. I loved all the sawdust carpets, which were trampled on by the people in the procession (like the destruction of the giant floats), but trying to get out of the apartment when the processions were going down my street was complicated. If you ever go I have tips!
