been keen to literally let my hair down the past couple of days. normally i keep it tied in ponytail to stay outta my way, but letting it just exist has been nice. idk how to explain why exactly, maybe it's just because it's different, lol

definitely a symptom of art block. also definitely bad brain actin' up late at night. the mind tends to worry more and be louder past a certain hour, which is why folks say not to listen past 9PM. 💚 get some rest and get plentiful sleep ✨ you've got this, dooble, don't stress yourself!

Everyone deserves to be their best selves, and exist freely, but that doesn't come naturally, and requires SOME fight on our part to ensure that it STAYS this way. Keeping a place like FA in the fight is one of many ways to do so.

If you want to protect this fandom, and this community that you hold so dear, you -need- to get involved in this stuff. It's unavoidable. Politics are what drive -policies-, and -policies- are what affect EVERYONE. Y'all need to stay on top of this stuff to understand how best to combat it.

Tones McGroans | 🔞 @tonesmcgroans.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

Speaking frankly, people in the community who were desperate to avoid politics were only ever turning a blind eye to tangible threats to our queerness and inclusivity, all for the sake of evading discomfort. This is where we are now. It's time to wake up & do good by our people, by YOUR community.

FA is being very up front about both the cost of hosting the site [it aint cheap] and how advertisers theyd been relying on prior are pushing all the same puritan bullshit weve been seeing other platforms push FA is one of very few Old Internet spaces around. Support em while we CAN

The Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door includes its own fictional language that is a cipher for English. Amusingly, the misspelled "Game Cuve" graffiti from the original version is translated into the new language... but still reads "Game Cuve" when deciphered.

The Nintendo Switch version of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door contains an in-universe language used for signs and labels that is a cipher (i.e. a one-to-one symbol conversion) for English.
Textures that were in English or unreadable in the original (left) are translated into the cipher in the remake (right). The remake's poster reads "Wanted" and the signboard reads "Signboard".
A famously misspelled "Game Cuve" graffiti appears in Rogueport in the original.
In the remake, it can be seen through this arch from the back.
Analyzing it reveals that it is still misspelled! The designers deliberately kept the misspelling in the translation.
Here is the key to the cipher used.

In Paper Mario, Mayor Penguin is found seemingly dead, with Mario being suspected of his murder. However, if a letter is delivered to him during that time, he will get up, thank Mario, and promptly go back to being dead. Unfortunately, this cannot prove Mario's innocence.

it's kind of funny, being a streamer, where a lot of what i do involves playing games, while at the same time, i'm recognizing that a lot of my unhealthy habits.. stem from getting too sucked in to the games i like to play i opted to limit game time these past few days, and have gotten SO much done
