RFK must go. Please contact your congresspeople about this. Ask them why RFK was allowed to unilaterally fire a senate appointee because she contacted senators – the appropriate oversight body – after the HHS secretary demanded that she break the law & betray Americans’ public health.
As long as he stays in office, the American public has to assume that their public health is being actively threatened. A current CDC employee put it starkly:
People will die because of this. We won't be able to get out guidance or get out funding for public health departments or get out vaccines.
We're going to be sicker as a country, not as effective, waste resources. And for what? I don't understand.

Wise advice from Hungary: The only way university leaders have a chance against Trump is forming a broad alliance with other institutions and enlisting "American families, employers, unions," + more. Going it alone won't work. Hiding and appeasing (duck and cover) won't stop systematic "vandalism."

I wish it were that simple. Like most endowments, NYU's is mostly restricted by donor agreements that are difficult or impossible to change and thus not available for operating expenses. Few university real estate holdings are liquid. If Trump has his way, cuts will be deep and lasting.
