A selection of fantasy tiller guns to populate your rpg sessions ! #art #weapon

Five tiller guns; a tiller gun is an early firearm making its appearance in the Late Middle Age. It is simply a barrel fitted onto a wooden pole for handling, before shoulder stocks replaced that layout.
The first gun is the Alchemist's Delight, a long textured bronze tube coiled into a crozier shape, fitted with pipes and valves and decorative grape leaves. The muzzle of it has been tempered into a gradient of reds and purples due to heat.
The second gun is Garmr, a much shorter weapon with a driftwood one-hand grip studded with nails. The barrel is dark cold iron patterned around its length with Norse runes, with the muzzle being the head of a snarling wolf. The whole thing is covered in bright red blood splatter, with the implication that once you've fired your shat you can just as well batter people with it.
The third gun is the Skórzana, it has a very long leather and banded iron barrel fitted onto an unprocessed birch pole. The barrel has a wide axehead attached to it in a style similar to a bardiche.
The fourth gun is Piquerisme, with a wide wooden handle marked with knife marks ending in a short hooked barrel on one side and a swordstaff on the other, both made of gleaming steel. The barrel has a simple serpentine trigger holding a slow match coiled around the handle.
The fith gun is Umirtà, with a large column-shaped brass barrel fitted on a ribbed wooden handle and fitted with sky blue tassels. The barrel ends in a small axe head, and bears the inscription "ANTONIVS CRASSVS 'SALVE' DICIT" which can be translated as "Fat Tony says 'hello' ".

One thing Masamune Shirow has been internally consistent about at every stage of his career: Sapphic Motoko Kusanagi.

Color page from Ghost in the Shell, the above dialogue doesn't matter as far as this post goes other than that the Chief is cutting in on Motoko's leave on a sail boat with two women.

Batou is forced to interrupt Motoko's vacation via mindjack at the Chief's behest and Motoko has to apologetically leave the two girls she's with behind.

Shirow Masamune bought a Colour Photocopier back when they were ungodly expensive, and installed it in his home studio. a lot of his weird colour work comes from painting panels and them colour copying the work with weirdo settings + overlays until they reached psychedelic moire patterns.

Marker and white ink on colored paper illustration in retro TTRPG manual style. A knight in ornate plate armor stands facing forward, hands clasped over the pommel of a longsword. His helmet is topped with a lion crest and draped with a decorated mantle. Intricate cross-hatching and fine details emphasize the medieval fantasy aesthetic, blending heraldic nobility with old-school RPG artwork.

VILE: Exhumed, which was banned very shortly before its scheduled Steam release, has been released for free online, including on Github and the Internet Archive. Cara's statement, per the IA page:

VILE: Exhumed is a game about searching through an old computer, uncovering dark secrets, and experiencing the horrors of parasocial obsession and misogyny. There are references to sexual assault and violence against women, as well as depictions of gore – this was never a secret. This was the point.

It was intended to be released for sale on July 22, 2025 on Steam – the largest video game storefront in the world.

Instead, it was removed from Steam and banned for sale.

VILE: Exhumed was not banned for its use of gore, or its intense themes – themes that are sensitive but many players related to – it was wrongfully banned for “sexual content with depictions of real people.”

The game covers topics of assault, abuse, and entitlement, and uses a combination of FMV and practical effects to create images as horrifying as the themes. This was never a secret. There are a lot of intense visuals in VILE: Exhumed, but there is no uncensored nudity, no depictions of sex acts, and no pornography whatsoever – which is one of the justifications bad actors are using right now to censor games.

What this actually results in is taking power and storytelling away from women, other marginalized artists, and ultimately, from everyone.

This censorship of my work is a direct attack on creative expression and artistic freedom, and it will not stop with false accusations of sexual content.

They will come for anything that speaks more loudly than they do.

By giving the game away, for free, to whoever wants to play it, I am doing the same thing I set out to do when I started working on VILE: Exhumed, a game about sexual assault, male entitlement, and misogyny. Taking back my agency.

No one is allowed to dictate what kind of horror is acceptable, or what stories are allowed to be told.

VILE: Exhumed is now available to download for free as shareware under a CC BY-NC-ND license through a few different methods on this page. This felt like the best option to make the game available to …
