In the first half of the 20th century, tens of thousands of people (mostly children) suffered paralysis from polio. The first vaccine was introduced in the USA in 1955. Notice the trend afterwards. (by @ourworldindata)

I absolutely appreciate the stakes too! Too many lefties are very pro-revolution without understanding the implications on the broader society. Ideally, we “hard reform” the system, if there is such a thing. The framers intended to the constitution to be a living document, we have to act on that.

It’s honorable and good to work within a system to change it and nudge it in the right direction; I truly hope that can be accomplished. However, when a system is so thoroughly designed to reject democracy and equitability, there comes a point where we have to ask “do we need a new system?”

Your first point is valid, but hinges on the system being amenable to change. Systems aren’t mailable or brittle by nature; at least in the case of manmade systems. Our governmental system is both engineered for profit-stripping AND calcified in legacy that is not prepared for modern challenges.
