I was against leaving as it was a stalking horse for racism, but if we want to rejoin the true downsides should be acknowledged.

Well, it’s interesting that the centrist “where’s the money going to come from?” lot (de facto neoliberals) are the loudest rejoiners.

The contrast between the utterly sycophantic coverage this week of Kemi Badenoch, whose party has a truly atrocious electoral record under her leadership, and the utterly dismissive coverage of the Greens, tells you everything you need to know about media bias in the UK

The dismissive coverage of Zack Polanski’s party obscures a far bigger truth about the rise of the left in British politics

Not joking when I blame neoliberalism for this. It’s a philosophy that knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

Working through the US govt’s payment systems, Elon Musk discovered 14 “magic money computers” that could “just issue payments” and “send money out of nothing.” What confounded his neoliberal understanding of govt finance is precisely the sort of monetary plumbing #MMT has long explained.

On the day he is a main candidate in a very important by-election, Facebook has *suspended* Zack Polanski’s account. This ON ITS OWN should be reason to vote Green in Holborn & St Pancras. This is foreign interference in British democracy. And guess what, the media (and Labour) is silent.

Try neoclassical economics. He poses as anti neoliberalism, but he sticks to the household economic analogy consistent with neoliberalism, which logically leads to austerity. The idea you have to cut one thing to pay for another is an example of the household analogy.

The household analogy, the “where is the money going to come from?” model, the idea that you have to reduce spending in one area to fund another, is all neoliberal bollocks. “Anything we can actually do, we can afford” JM Keynes.
