It's up for sale! Grab yours today! The ATTINY PRO is a small-but-capable ATtiny3217 development board with a form-factor similar to a Pro Micro. It's like the original Arduino board, but with the much better peripherals of the Tiny AVR 1 and 2 series. www.tindie.com/products/mat...

Forgot I had a load of serial output left in, slowing things down a bit. Seems smoother with it off anyway. Haven't actually timed it, but certainly looks better.

So I haven't actually seen this bad apple thing yet, or at least until now. But it looks pretty good on a memory pixel LCD, streaming out of the flash of an ESP32-S3! Speedy!

These neat little bar format LCD panels are a bit on the small side, but given they are selling for about a quid a pc for 76x284px... Well, it'd be rude not to whip up a little breakout. Dropped on a Waveshare ESP32/RP2350 Tiny module footprint - for now...

I feel Spreadsheets should always be more colourful. The baked in conditional formatting doesn't work well enough to do stuff like... RGB LED matrix mapping.
Excels baked in index of colors. Kinda drab. The full HSL wheel mapped from 0-359 (360) individual RGB conversions.

Scrapping down a few old Lacie external disks, along with a Drobo 5D, both with FireWire. Who wants to play spot the similarities in these two boards? Of course, there are only so many ways one can architect and build this for it to work (& pass EMC)... But really.

Well, that's heartbreaking. I know of a powermac G5 that's being scrapped, and was toying with combining the case with a threadripper system that "mostly" works - I run junkers, so what 😂 But having looked... I can't find a single conversion that doesn't look weird. Even the "good" ones look off.

Yo dawg we heard you like packages so we packaged your encapsulated wafer inside a ceramic windowed package and packaged that inside a hermetically sealed moisture barrier (package) because what even are optical losses - apparently. (Love this paperweight sensor package, it's ridiculous)
A photograph of a custom ccd image sensor chip, inside a moisture sealed ceramic windowed carrier, itself inside a third hermetically sealed can/glass to metal sealed feed through chamber, along with some small ampules of dessicant.

The whole aim is to keep the atmosphere inside the package free of moisture, so that the sensor chip can be cooled to below ambient dew point level, without condensation formation (think how your freezer ice grows over time).

Oh yeah, why? Because cooling the sensor reduces a lot of the shot noise that comes from CCD sensors - which means you can have a lower detection threshold/ SNR for low light imaging - like astrophotography!A photograph of a custom ccd image sensor chip, inside a moisture sealed ceramic windowed carrier, itself inside a third hermetically sealed can/glass to metal sealed feed through chamber, along with some small ampules of dessicant.
