For what its worth, US GDP per capita is $81,000 while Spain's is $32,000 I don't think this is because our mechanics and teachers are *that* much better than their counterparts in Spain. I think its clear that Americans with "bullshit" jobs are doing a better job though

Important to incorporate quality improvements. I car that was shitty 20 years ago, would by today's standards, be even shittier. You can probably buy a car without power windows and, by today's standards, incredibly subpar safety features for very little money

Sympathy and empathy are not the same. I think if you have a graduate degree and work in the knowledge economy, its almost impossible to imagine being an undocumented Mexican who is excited for Trump to kick out the Nicaraguans with a firm belief that he will spare you.

This article describes my building and it's great! Huge courtyard in the center, and it's a mix of 1, 2, and 3 bedroom units so I see a decent number of kids running around. I would have liked growing up here for sure
