I just (involuntarily) saw an ad for Meta Nonce Goggles, and apparently one of the use cases is being able to still take calls while carrying a dog around

This is a fun, intimate little event, I'm pleasantly surprised. The comics are great, the people who make them greater still, and free to get in? Madness! Kudos to Chris and all the organisers, and to the many, many people who've turned up. 🤘😎 Recommended for next year. 🤞

Can't recommend this book highly enough. It's a delight from cover to cover and presents a very different way of listening to The Fall during the period Steve covers.

Jane deserves a medal for her efforts in describing the origins and provenance of this to the Tate, who bought a copy and are trying to catalogue it (The emails themselves are a @colossive.com zine in the making)
A zine: YOUR ACTIONS ARE
POINTLESS IF NO ONE NOTICES
By Jenny Holzer and Tracey PitcherThe back cover: Jenny Holzer is a conceptual artist based in New York (US). in the late 1980s, after holidaying at Great Yarmouth, she became artist in residence at Thrigby Athletic FC, then in Division Three of the Caister Eels Anglian League. She persuaded the club's regular sponsor, Chuffy's Clutch Clinic, to let her display her one-line 'Truisms' on the front of the club's shirts
Tracey Pitcher grew up on the Anglian Coast and studied fine art at Ravensbourne College in south-east London. She now works in an iron foundry near Lowestoft.
This pamphlet is baed on official photographs in the Thrigby Athletic archive. Many thanks are due to the club's historian, Dr Hugo Bamfylde.

Would be good if someone (hello @filmsradiance.bsky.social ) reissued Enki Bilal's three feature films on disc for Anglophones, but I'm always saying this about obscure European science-fiction cinema. They're uneven but he got major actors involved, and they're filled with quirky inventive stuff.
A film poster for Bunker Palace Hotel (1989). Bald-headed Jean-Louis Trintignant standing holding a briefcase in front of a Deco-styled doorway.A film poster for Tykho Moon (1996). A drawing of Julie Delby in a red wig, Johan Leysen wearing a hat and looking at the starry sky, a blue lizard. In the dtsance, a rocky landscape and the planet Earth in the sky.A poster for Immortel, ad vitam (2004). A partial view of Linda Hardy's face: blue hair, blue eyes, blue lips, a trail of blue tears. In the background a view of New York City in the future with a giant pyramid hovering over the buildings.
