If @edmilibandmp.bsky.social is running for PM, then there’s only one possible campaign slogan he can use, right? “It’s time for chaos with Ed Miliband”

I'm a big fan of Claude, which works great. Occasionally I see a PR on GitHub that uses Copilot and I take a look at what's happening Every time I open a Copilot PR there's a message along these lines 🫠

Today's "what if I asked #Claude to build something absolutely ridiculous" - a Remote Desktop server that plays Snake (no Windows required). All deployed onto @railway.com to keep things simple. Try it yourself: rdc.ibuildstuff.eu

Today in, "here's a crazy idea made [quicker] by #claude" I really dislike email spam - so I thought to myself, could I avoid that problem altogether? What if you had an SSH contact form, instead? Terrible idea? Probably 🤔

Today in #claude experiments, what happens if we tried to make a multiplayer 3D web-based shooter in the browser (entirely without coding)?

Today's question/investigation: what if your #IaC could propose resolutions to common issues?

Yep. Having experienced it briefly first hand last summer, I’m blown away by their resiliency. There’s an exhibition in the middle of Kyiv which compared some events to the Warsaw uprising, which I hadn’t made the connection to.

End-to-end demo video after ~5h of prompting - it's not a bad start at all tbh

Did I just vibe code (a very simplified version of) @systeminit.com by accident? 😬

Next with a dynamic infrastructure dependency map, we could create/delete/inspect resources and their dependencies - and trigger any operations (e.g. restart/rotate a key) on that resource type) Creations/Deletions happen in a background queue, this is super neat.

Of course, these are usable in a browser environment too, so what's stopping us exploring our infrastructure there too? 🤔

So now, just for the lolz, can we wrap this new style of plugin into a #Terraform Provider? You betcha.

Tom Harvey @tombuildsstuff.bsky.social · 16/01/2026
This approach intentionally uses a new plugin model (where each Resource Type becomes it's own plugin, so that we can iterate more rapidly). So we can deploy a Resource Group or Virtual Network. Easy. (The Test CLI will be replaced, purely for validation right now)

Today I'm continuing experiment with #Claude, but in the #Infrastructure space. I've opted to include this prompt, because I'm a lil salty about all of the unnecessary renames over the years

At this point we've got one pretty good map, so naturally I asked Claude to add support for multiple maps. So the logical next step is to ask #Claude to create another map.. not bad for a first attempt?

Continuing on from yesterday, reworked the 'home' page with the intention of open-sourcing it - also updated the HUD styling and added capturable bases at the top and bottom Again, this is all entirely done by #Claude. Wild.

Now with a single player against AI too - this has been a really fun experiment, super impressive to see what's been possible in ~ a day of prompting from scratch All I've done manually is the prompting, configuring the repo/deployment in @railway.com, picking out sounds and changing 1 variable

Tom Harvey @tombuildsstuff.bsky.social · 14/01/2026
With sounds it really comes together too - just got the about/credits screen left to do Feel free to try it yourself: arena.ibuildstuff.eu

Add in some more walls and turrets and this is starting to look like a real game and everything, this is awesome.

A little further along still (and we're now up to where I'm at) - and we've got a real world game system going on, with tanks, helicopters and turrets. We need some more walls to make this realistic (lol) but this is genuinely impressive for ~3h of prompting

~1.5h later, and it's looking way more like a real game than an empty arena. My intention (out of curiosity) is to try avoiding any code for this project, tbh.

Genuinely ridiculous that in 2025 roaming packages can max out at 10MB of data per day (This was the only package for this destination, and yes you can get a local sim..)

For /years/ now Apple Music has had a bug where tracks end up duplicated in albums over time. I get this might be a painful one to repro, but given the number of engineers at Apple and the percentage internally that must use Apple Music - I'm amazed this one hasn't been fixed already. Just me?
