I think they'll only put down a fee at this stage for the next Pedro/Asprilla/Koné/Vata; someone they know they can flip for a handsome profit within 12-18 months, pocketing the difference and reducing the Pozzo debt. I'd be stunned (fuming) if they are holding back £ for the next HC.

I might collate everything he said in the run-up to and throughout the window. It started with (paraphrasing), 'We need oven-ready Championship players and I expect a couple before Cardiff', moved to putting the onus on Nani etc (smart) and finished with 'It is what it is'. A defeated man.

I think most fans - basing this purely on social media - have cottoned onto the fact we're in austerity mode to repay Pozzo's debt and prime us for sale. So just be honest with supporters and tell us the truth, rather than the usual disingenuous claptrap about 'being the best we can'.

Absolutely. He doesn't deserve this. The job he did in the first half of the season underlines exactly how exciting a young coach he is. He won't be short of good offers from well-run clubs if he steps away.

Thanks, mate, very kind of you to say. Totally agree. I think we all know TC isn't going to see out the season. We'll get the usual tosh about how they felt he wasn't aligned with their expectations, shrugging while ignoring the fact he was totally ill-equipped to do the job. Next year: shudders.

The changes to the coaching set up are strange. We’ve seen Kavaja go, Perreira - who I believe was a club hire - come and go. Now Robbo have come in and been sidelined and Aranalde is back. All of which sets my spidey senses tingling. Tom isn’t out the woods, not by a long shot.

I think we're somewhat protected there because we clearly can't pay it. So we'd go into administration and then he's getting pence in the pound back. If that wasn't the case I am sure he would have by now to expedite the whole exit process!

I don't disagree. I used 'OK' instead of 'happy' as I think it probably sums up exactly what you've said. It's just... OK. With the spectre of Bassini so recent in our past, the ITV Digital collapse, 'Buy Back The Vic', Elton's concerts, 12.5% deferral, we know what real hardship looks like.
