And the endings of the books... Still, it's fun in it's own way.

The pop movies "It: Chapter two" number 874, "Shopkeeper" played by Stephen King.

I said I liked it, I didn't say it was good.

Yes, it's dumb. Yes, it caters to the Male Gaze, but that cast, though! Everybody knows what kind of movie they are in and they all seem to be having a great time.

For it's size the Phil Jones stuff is ridiculously expensive. But yeah it sounds really really good. I've had this Fender Rumble 60 forever, and the Peavey longer than that.

Older picture of my bass amp setup including a Peavy... I want to say tko120 (I could be wrong.), A fender rumble 60, and a vox Pathfinder guitar amp. to the right is a Yamaha ma1000. to the left, Kind of hidden in the shadow of the amps is a a squire cyclone guitar and front of the M stack. There's a pedal board with a chorus, a Joe satriani distortion pedal, a big muff bass pi, a TC electronics reverb and a rhythm Buddy.

The funny part? I still have my boxes from last year.

The count Chocula booberry and frankenberry cereals selling for $4 boxes here.

I moved it to my "current media" table... Lol

My copy of "The End of the World as we Know it" on top of Batman Earth 1, DC marvel amalgam collection, Batman in the '80s, Y the last man: Cycles, and Pocket Full of Rain trade paperbacks.

Oh... Well played, Power Wash Simulator 2. If I knew for sure the Falcon was involved, I'd pull the trigger in a heartbeat.

A screenshot for advertisement for the power wash to add on Star Wars. Showing a little Droid and a safety vest with a gronk Droid behind him and a Superstar destroyer in orbit above him on the planet of what appears to be tattooing.

Photograph of the howling movies available on Amazon prime. There are nine of them. I've never heard of any of them beyond howling 2.

The moon and clouds this morning.

Pretty wide-angle shot of the sky which has some pretty pink clouds in the interesting formation and a very bright full moon

Pretty decent shot of the full moon. Pixel 8 pro phone camera on I don't remember what zoom.

I was going to build a shadow box to contain these cool additions of The Dark Tower books and then somebody said "Make it a tower!" Anyway this is the proof of concept prototype. I need to incorporate some Dark Tower elements and you know...pick a color.

A poorly taken photograph of the front of the "proof of concept" Lego Dark Tower that I put together to contain those nice paperback editions of the first three books of The Dark Tower series.

Poorly taken side view shot of my Lego Tower showcasing the support I attempted to build into it.

Before anyone yells at me for not telling them about this, Jennifer Keishin Armstrong ( @jmkarmstrong.bsky.social ) wrote a book about "Parks and Rec." I've only read the forward and the introduction (so far) but I feel I'm in very good hands.

A copy of "parks and rec the underdog TV show that literally inspired a vision for a better America" by Jennifer Armstrong, showing the horse little Sebastian on top of a stack of three waffles next to a pile of bacon with the Pawnee flag stuck in it.

I snagged the "ROS" one because I didn't want the "Solo" version with the "escape pod" and can't justify the $$$$ for the UCC set. Fun build. I'm happy with it.

I asked they did not have the Spidey Kermit cover but that's cool because then I went next door to Stacy's Book Rack and stumbled upon a First Printing "Danse Macabre" from Stephen King.

And hardcover first printing of Dance Macabre from Stephen King. The background is black Stephen King's name is in white dance Macabre is in red and it's bordered in purple.

So.. I stumbled across a new-to-me comic shop (Stooges Comics and Collectables), so I picked up a couple of things...

Batman of two worlds one, Muppets taking marvel universe one, and absolute Batman 24

I mean, if I had seen that Dark Knight anniversary cover, at first I'd have been like "what? Nightwing isn't even on the cover of his own book?" But then I'd be like "damn that Dark Knight anniversary cover be badass and the actual cover is so lame."

Two copies of Nightwing number 141 one is The Dark Knight anniversary cover with Batman and Robin swooping down with lightning behind them the other one is the actual Nightwing comic with Dick Grayson and handcuffs being led to the courthouse and really stupid ugly lettering that just makes it look stupid

020

Bassplyr5150 @tomarmbruster.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I'm annoyed that I didn't know about the alt cover for Nightwing 141,but I couldn't resist the Dark Knight. Also annoyed that Bad Seeds apparently is already in week four despite the fact these are the first books I'm picking up featuring the X-over. #NCBD #NewComicBookDay

From left to right: Batman and Robin year one Dynamic duos number two, detective comics 1113, Nightwing 141 with the Dark Knight anniversary cover, New Titans 39, world's finest 55, Batman 13, Barbara Gordon breakout 5, Nightwing 142 featuring a cover that's already making me mad, and the DC compact Gotham Central cuz I've heard it's a really good book and I figure if I'm going to support the DC compact series I'm going to buy stories I haven't read before.

And Scott if you've read this this far know that I really enjoy posting my pickups and I only do it cuz you post yours.

Share one of the most obscure TV shows you can think of. Reaper (2007) 2 seasons Parents sell son's soul to the Devil (RAY WISE!!), he becomes the Devil's Bounty Hunter. Kevin (Clerks) Smith directed the pilot.

"Reaper" promo image with Brett Harrison, Tyler "Temu Jack Black" Labine and Missy Peregrym. All apologies to Mr Labine, that Temu Jack Black thing is a joke, I actually like him on the show.

Ok.... Friend of mine always asks for a ride home on Wednesday mornings. She lives close to a discount toy shop. Today, she waited until 2PM to ask for a ride. As a result, fate decided I needed a new LEGO set...

Set 75447, The Razor Crest. I actually saw it today at Walmart for $150 got this one for $147 all in with tax so worth the drive also there are elements in it that are different from the other Razor Crest so that's going to justify it for me . (Yeah I'm grasping at straws but they're my straws to grasp.)

Yesterday I didn't even know these things existed. Where were they when the shows were on the air?

Playmobil playsets of The A-Team van and Knight Rider car. All of the figures sorry those weird Playmobil faces where everybody's got those faint smiles and it looks like they're all creepy as hell. Like they're getting ready to murder you in your sleep.

It's a little rubber figurine of a California raisin playing a stand-up Bass. If you're of a certain age, "I Heard it through the grapevine" is playing in your head right now. Sorry not sorry.
