the Jefferson thing is really interesting. definitely seems like we might be +1 on the number of high schools we need in 10 years. but it would be kind of nuts to look at the history of treatment of the community around that neighborhood by the city and say "oh & now we're just going to close Jeff"

If we take "the proposal" to mean "closing some schools to meet minimum enrollment standards in the remaining ones," I think you sort of have to agree. Also true most people don't seem to & that's wild. But a narrower, "they insufficiently explained the rational for the specifics" I could cosign.
