So, that's a sign the textures are lower res. The much larger file sizes on other consoles and hardware? 4k textures. Lots of them. That's probably most of the bloat with NMS, because it uses procedural generation to a fault. Virtually everything you see comes from seeds and math rules.. & textures

I mean, I've done it through PS4 Remote Play... But I'd much rather have the rendering Not dependent on a remote computer and the internet connection(s) between. That and my phone isn't a $2k flagship phone, so I'm not sure PC emulation is in the cards for me.

Yup, largely this. Also largely the fact that NMS uses procedural generation so the trillions of landscapes don't exist in memory: it's all just seed numbers that when planted in the procedure grow entire worlds, whole solar systems, tell the game where to put everything. Makes for small files.

From what I understand this is a no-charge warrant... Served against a current lawmaker... Seems like this will be a FUN court case because I'd like the federal judge who signed off on it to have to explain WHY, and HOW this was legal, in a court of law as the defendant.

Star Wars: Squadrons was released 6 years ago today. So it's a good time to revisit the "Hunted" short by ILM that preceded the game's release. Arguably the best fiction showcasing the TIE Interceptor from the Disney era. Lucasfilm should produce this kind of promotional project more often.
