yeah actually first I thought it might have been a visualization of results from proposed-reform-unlocked housing, which could be cool, but I can't see anything else in image that seems generated. it's so prominent and obvious though, on a skyline icon in the news, that seems like there was a point.

the stock photo on article has a remarkably transformed, trapezoidal profile morph of skyline centerpiece #BigPink. (see actual, in 3rd image). I wondered at first if was some joke or point about collapsing downtown property values or office-to-residential conversion. bsky.app/profile/ande...

#Ischia is beautifully filmed as the 'Mongibello' in The Talented Mr Ripley (1999) and partly that of Purple Noon (Plein Soleil, 1959, www.reelstreets.com/films/plein-...); maaybe senseable in #Auden, "In Praise of Limestone" (1948)—though that might be as much or more to with his native Yorkshire

"Authorship before print was in a large degree the building of a mosaic": for practical and cultural reasons, mostly gathering, copying, assembling, and preserving manuscripts — done variously, anonymously, by monks, scribes, bookbinders, librarians, owners. — Goldschmidt, 1943, via McLuhan, 1962

here's what seems to be the part at start of #JamesJoyce #FinnegansWake described by #McLuhan as "making a mosaic, an Achilles shield…of all the themes and modes of human speech and communication." Imo analogy to #AchillesShield, iconic #ekphrasis passage of #Illiad, is apt & intriguing. #booksky
