So Jolyon Maughan knew of the above article & admits he wrote to its author, Lanre Bakare, that it was "pretty fair" but at the same time spinning a tale against Bakare of having an axe to grind against Arday when it's clear his only crime was diligence and not being pliant. Spectacularly nauseating

Talk on X that Professor Dame Ijeoma Uchegbu, President, Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, has remove her name from the jason Arday solidarity page. Confirmed when comparing of the latest with the archived version.

In 2020 this is what I as a layman thought, but I'm amazed to read that Kristian Andersen and Eddie Holmes (who worked in Wuhan) thought Wuhan's location made it a risk for coronavirus infections. It would seem Shi Zhengli using Wuhan as a negative control here in 2017 clearly didn't.

The one author not seen in the Slack chat is Ian Lipkin. He was cut off from the others because in their eyes he had begun to show "erratic behavior" by considering lab leak a possibility. As Kristian Andersen keeps saying, "That is how science works"!

Lots of very revealing stuff about the awfulness of the character of the four named above. The group think is literally stated. For example at the shock of discovering the DEFUSE report Andrew Rambaut shows determination to plough through it: "We just need to re-convince ourselves it is coincidence"

Nope. It is a myth that Celia Dhejne recanted the findings of her peer reviewed paper In fact she has very explicitly confirmed the findings "If one is only [interested] in transwomen...who had transition 1973-2003 they had committed more crimes than cis women and more violent crime than cis women"

A false comparison. We are talking about human *sex* Males are the most violent *sex* The claim that giving hormones and surgery to males will make them less prone to criminality or violence, should be compared to the 'null hypothesis', that it does not Dhejne 2011 shows the null hypothesis holds.

"Beira's place" By condemning the existence of a female only rape crisis centre set up by JK Rowling Amnesty signal they are now undeniably, actively, *pro* torture. JKR set it up as an alternative to the one run by a man who wanted to re-educate survivors uncomfortable with him running the centre.

Illiberal Amnesty thinks a woman’s place is at back of the queue
Branding groups such as the JK Rowling-backed Beira’s Place ‘anti-rights’ is sadly typical for an organisation that has strayed far from its original purpose

Also could @bellingcat.com ask @amnestyuk.bsky.social about quietly rewriting the plight of Afghan women to suit TRA's & then equally quietly backing out when noticed by "anti-rights" women. Non of this was admitted in public. Or do Bellingcat think Afghan girls just 'identify' into oppression too?

I know every TRA lie and trick on Dhejne now. I'm honestly open to new info but it never appears. Maybe someone *could* run the study again in a later period and find improvements, but the GAC field would never permit it because of politics. Tough for them. x.com/tlitb/status...

Let's be clear here, Dhejne 2011 is the most cited paper on gender healthcare. It found trans women retained male pattern criminality. None of its findings have been refuted in peer review. Dunt is only getting his dismissal of Dhejne from this guy, a phd in sociology Ruth Pearce
120
The Leopard in the Basement is STILL a Sensible Name @tlitb.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
What Dunt does is use known TRA misinfo on Dhejne. Note he says a reduced trend for "trans people". He (and his sources) ignore the fact that Dhejne's last word on this in 2017 confirmed her findings that "trans women" retained the male pattern of criminality for the "whole period" to 2003

The Leopard in the Basement is STILL a Sensible Name @tlitb.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
Before sniggering at the idea of Hannah Barnes & Hilary Cass having expertise in gender healthcare Ian Dunt somehow found the confidence within himself to dismiss the most cited paper in gender healthcare, Dhejne 2011, as "not a very good study" with nothing but a smug face as support afaics🤔

The Leopard in the Basement is STILL a Sensible Name @tlitb.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
I know it's calculated because while Lynskey skates through his snarky summary of setting up Beira's Place, Ian Dunt keeps stock still, daring no reaction. No, 'Wow!', 'Oof!' that punctuates all their other scripted stuff. Because they really know its story vindicates Rowling. It's that cynical
110
The Leopard in the Basement is STILL a Sensible Name @tlitb.bsky.social · 29/05/2026
Dunt/Lynskey pose as 'exploring' how JK Rowling got radicalised, but they know they have to to deal with events that spoil that narrative. So note how they briefly mention Beira's place with calculated bad faith leaving out how it totally vindicated JKR's stance. Surely they should discuss that?

OK so now listened to Pt 2 Dunt/Lynskey Rowling and it is worse than Pt 1. I swear down this section, where Lynskey snarks about Hannah Barnes and Hilary Cass having no experience in the field of "gender health care", provoking sniggering from Ian Dunt, perfectly sums up the whole show..but.. 1/n

JK Rowling correcting the delusional Maugham. He appears to be now in fugue state. Where every set-back is seen only a justification of his righteousness with no pause taken to assess his behaviour. I think it's a fair observation that Jolyon Maugham is not coming back to reality anytime soon.

My point is that P2022 fucked up the math and refuses to correct it. I wasn't sure even whether I wanted to include the context (wrote a version without it) but the editor wanted it.

Your argument purely concerns the fuzzy context, not my correction to the big math error. I tried to be very low-key about the importance of reversing P2022 for the origins question- it was always over-hyped. But seriously wrong papers should be retracted.
