I joined the guys over at @tabletop.express to talk about some games I played this month and I just had to talk about Six Sided Seas from @solisgamestudio.bsky.social. A written review is coming soon, but I had a lot of fun talking about their latest game! Reach out if you want to learn more!

Pure utter chaos with Nebula. Really enjoyed the way her deck worked with her techniques and trying to stack them all on certain turns. One of those decks where you are likely flipping forms each turn @fantasyflightgames.bsky.social

I went through and put together a top 10 list of games that I've played, which are new releases from 2025. Some outstanding games came out this year. A little bit of recency bias on maybe one or two of these, but I stand by where these are and look forward to playing these a lot more soon!

I forgot to take a picture of Ada's Dream, but the game is phenomenal and will be my favorite of the year by far. Also got in another game late last night of Hercules and the 12 Labors. This will easily move up my solo only list with how thematic it is

Started my first ever EXIT Advent Calendar with the 'Intergalactic Race' box tonight! Not great with these games but it's an advent calendar and a board game. Two great things through the holiday season

Tyler Lance - Comic Book Yeti @tlance8.bsky.social · 24/11/2025

What did I learn after my first PAXU? Don't play a lot of board games leading up to that weekend as you will play an absurd amount of games while there. 31 plays of games and 25 different games! 17 new to me games! This didn't include demos that I partially learned either....

2100

Tyler Lance - Comic Book Yeti @tlance8.bsky.social · 24/11/2025

Also, my Button Shy collection is getting to be a bit much hah

150

Tyler Lance - Comic Book Yeti @tlance8.bsky.social · 24/11/2025

So here is my final haul from PAXU minus the 4 games I couldn't fit in my luggage but are getting shipped to me. The games missing are Mythical Dice, Covenant, Phoenix New Horizon, and Unmatched Vol 1. Also there are two games that were bought as gifts for friends. 20 games purchased overall for me

I skipped it last year, but am going to be doing my Solotober challenge again this year(31 different games played solo over 31 days). Have a long list of games I want to play and I think I'm going to map out what is played for each day. Also going to try to make this strictly in person plays
