Birds of Prey
One of the things I love the most about living in Buenos Aires is getting to see sooooo many birds of prey every day, even in the city!

Pictured:
- (bottom left) A large, dark feathered Harris Hawk on a log, bending down to tear meat from an unknown morsel held in place with its talons. A doodled annotation reads "om nom nom".
- (right, main) Two big Crested Caracaras perching amidst tree branches, looking off into the distance. The top one has doodled questionmarks to imply a curious expression, the lower one has a scribble to emphasize the tuft of its darker head crest sticking out.

The mockingbirds often trick me into thinking that there's a bird somewhere nearby that I haven't seen before!

Water Birds
I enjoy staying motionless by the river (especially in the rain) and silently noticing all of the wildlife around me.

People ask how I do illustrations at very small pixelart resolutions. The trick is practice, and the exercise to practice is this: 1. draw your character 2. halve the resolution (now you can't fit all the details; pick what to keep), 3. halve again to 1/4. After that, 1/2 res feels roomy.

I took part in a coastal clean up at the reserve yesterday 🥰 we filled 4 of those massive city recycling bags with trash! 3 of which can be recycled! 🙌 I'm certainly feeling the aches today after helping to haul those back through the nature reserve to the entrance 😱 #BeachClean

Testing images with different aspect ratios, please excuse the temporary feed spam 💚 Starting with four images each of the same ratio, then further in this thread I'll test mixed sizes. Four images: 1:1 ratio 1080x1080

Test image showing dimensions, ratio, shaded vertical areas for: half, third, quarter, sixth, and eighth of the image. Concentric circles aligned to the edge of the image.

RIP #PortfolioDay layout 😭 This changes all of your old posts with multiple images to a carousel format. Also if your image ratios are 16:9, more of it gets chopped off (the first two images in my example are 1:1). Time to explore some ideas for the new format I guess 🤔 #PixelArt
