It’s every postseason. Yes the pitching makes the big mistake but when you’re constantly doing the least amount at the plate you live on the edge, allowing for those mistakes to hurt.

Eh it’s more south than Marietta proper. It’s only like 15 minutes without traffic from downtown. I don’t like a lot of what they did with Truist, but it’s actually closer to the city downtown than many other MLB parks

I think what people could be objecting to is how simplistic and low-effort country pop music seems to be. And how the success of “Choosin’ Texas” confirms how simplistic and low-effort we are as a public listenership. But like, also, pop has always been simple. It’s a good song.

That said, I actively hate to hear it. That melody gets in my head and stays there. The song also paints this completely broad picture of Southern/Appalachian country culture that seems aspirational for many, nostalgic for others.

I’m diving back into the “Choosin’ Texas” discourse. Because I’ve spent much time talking about great songs. So I objectively think “Choosin‘ Texas” is a very good if not great song, because it accomplishes exactly what it should. It was made to be a smash of a hit, and holy crap is it.
