10 days to go before Carry on Touring host our 2nd UK/EU summit in Parliament. 5 years after Brexit, there has been little progress in trying to sort out the issues facing creative touring both to and from the EU. Labour say they are the party of growth, yet the creative sector is on its knees.

As we approach the 5th anniversary of Brexit, #CarryOnTouring will be holding a UK-EU Summit in Parliament on 28th January 2025. Creative touring in the UK/EU is simply not working and there isn't much sign of any improvement coming soon, unless we see real change soon,

Thread 🧵 on mobility arrangements after Brexit. 1. Brits generally seem to be aware of the 90-in-180 day problem they face since Brexit. But they are often gobsmacked to learn that the UK still welcomes Europeans and lets them visit the UK for a whopping 6 months per visit.

It might be a small family farm, but its also a small family farm worth quite a lot of money. Whether its small or 'family' is irrelevant. If a family owns a shop or a factory worth more than £1m then IHT is applied at 50%. All this change does is bring farms in line with other business assets
