Maybe an unpopular or even controversial opinion but some people really, REALLY don't deserve free games or games in general. The way some of y'all treat game devs (especially indie game devs) is extremely entitled, rude and, frankly, inconsiderate.

I totally agree. If it was like 600 or 700 I could see some people for whom that would make sense, but at that point you can buy so many stuff for that price, like litterally a new ps5 and a new switch Or a new switch and 10 physical copies of nintendo games Or a second hand PC and a nice gpu...

Pre built, you can upgrade your GPU, here you can't, and it's not really out performing PS5. I think it's a cool idea, but it's SO hard to recommend. like, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Given that cpu and gpu are not replaceable, I would not compare that to hand made pc. Plus hand made pc can be made for cheaper especially when considering second hand market. I think it would have been an interesting offer at the price they initially considered.

Steam Machine seems so dead on arrival, it's crazy. For the same price you can get a switch 2 bundle and 10 full price games, including 9 full price (overpriced) PHYSICAL COPIES that you can resell and that don't take up storage space.

If they have trust in the project they would. It's smart to invest in project you think could be a success, it doesn't make you lose money, when it sells nintendo get back what it invested and a cut on any purchase made on their store. And for your second point, that's your line, not everyone's.
