There’s been a consistent stream of bad management of projects and studios, usually stemming from weak and vision-less leadership, literally for decades - at this point I suppose it’s a miracle there’s still video games being made. Hopefully this’ll continue. Idk anymore.

Players are incredibly forgiving of delays. They just want a good game and if that take a bit longer, that's far better than releasing an unfinished, unpolished, incomplete experience. It's the publishers who have a problem with missing a release window and will shove a preemie out in the world.

Love and Deepspace, day 50something review. This game makes a lot of money because of the quality of its production, the great cutscenes, the dynamic between characters, nuanced animations & general hot dudes. But it mostly makes a lot of money because it’s absolutely a gooner game (appreciative).
