This is your occasional reminder that generative "AI" in particular could have been developed on public domain materials and/or licensed and compensated works but the major players intentionally, methodically and systemically chose to steal labor from working creative folks instead

Meant to do a significant amount of gardening today, only did a small amount. All helps. A good time to tidy things up so I can forget about them over winter.

A close-up of the final paragraph of the review of TERMINUS in the Fortean Times. It reads: 'In its evocation of a specific kind of contemporary British urban strangeness, Terminus creates a unique and memorable setting for a story of a liminal space brushing against cosmic horror. ★★★★★'The full text of the review of TERMINUS in the Fortean Times magazine, held by me. ... It helped to have a first go at Village Rails with people who'd played before. Although they beat me thoroughly - there's more to think about than it initially appears. They knew an important rule that I hadn't spotted as it's well hidden.

... Red and Dead is #1 in a modern fantasy series. It's set in Liverpool, and the protagonist is supernatural, but certainly not a wizard. A light read with just enough setting devt to be interesting, which was what I wanted. Will get #2 to see where it goes; could head into romance territory.

... Spiderlight is a fairly light (in the sense of easy to read) story about a group of adventurers off to fight a dark lord, but mixes in thoughts about who gets designated as a monster and shades of morality. It felt like it'd been pretty fast to write.

Left comment on social media ad (probably rashly). Shiny image and lots of superlatives, but it misses out saying what kind of thing the product -is-. (A book: could have been an rpg, is a graphic novel.) Don't forget to pigeonhole. Viewers need it to be relevant before they click through.
