My memory of playing that game was that most characters ended up being in their 50s or 60s because you tended to end up with more money and skills if you did that, but you didn't want to go on too long as you started losing stats to aging

I couldn't understand why the Warsaw one looked like a robot...
Picture of the Warsaw pedestrian symbol. It is green, but coincidentally the four dots that the Bluesky app draws over the picture to denote you have several to scroll through goes directly over its head, making it look very robotty.

This is a picture of me ( holding the map ) in Nigeria in 1982 on a day when the sun was exactly overhead.
Four children out in the midday sun. Ome holds a sign saying April 25th 1982. The next holds a clock showing 12:25. The next ( a very beautiful child who will surely grow up in to a stunningly handsome man ) holds a map of Nigeria. The last child points to Kano in the North of Nigeria with a stick.

After our old Epson fucked us about one too many times, my wife took a hammer to it. This is the first thing I print on every printer I've had since, and they tend to be pretty well behaved after that.
A hammer lying in the broken remains of an old Epson inkjet printer.

@rebeccaforec.bsky.social I forgot to post this earlier - I appreciate the new bike racks by CVS at El Cerrito Plaza!
A bike at the bike racks outside El Cerrito Plaza.

Damn, that's a nice bike! It's a blue British steel framed touring bike. I bet its rider is totally hot, too.

So I have a question for Bluesky. This food truck was outside work, but they appear to have a roasted dinosaur on the roof. My question is: what species of dinosaur have they roasted? Allosaurus? Iguanadon?
A food truck that sells chicken. On top there is a huge model of a roasted chicken, but it's kinda dinosaur-sized.

I quite like it. I dislike the current trend of very boxy car fronts, and this one looks like a car out of the Usborne Book of the Future.

In 2001 i bought a l'espion camera, which I feel is the great grandfather of these things. It could do something like 20 pictures at 352x288 pixels, and ran off a single AAA battery. It was around the same volume as a matchbox.
A tiny and very shitty digital camera from 2001, being held in someone's hand. It is only a few cm in each dimension, and made of a kind of silver plastic.

Back in ~2001 our printer misbehaved one too many times, and my wife had had enough. I print this picture on every new printer I get, as a warning.

From the UK 2015 general election:
Front page of The Sun British tabloid newspaper, 5th of May 2015. Headline is 'SAVE OUR BACON' and is accompanied by a very unflattering picture of the the leader of the opposition, Labour MP Ed Miliband, eating a bacon sandwich. You know sometimes you eat a sandwich and it's difficult to take the bite properly without the bits coming out? That. He looks very odd.

The general election was two days later, and Labour lost.

I feel like we're really heading in to an ad hellscape at the moment where AIs are just churning out vast amounts of shite hoping something will stick
A bizarre AI-generated picture of a power tool. It has the Milwaukee styling, but is more reminiscent of a taser than anything else. Is being held in a two-handed pistol grip by a person wearing black nitrile gloves. The front is a weird contraption with lots of circular orifices, and along the side are a bunch of shiny metal cylinders that look like socket wrench sockets.

Cuomo still hasn't appeared at his party where they are playing 'Holding Out for a Hero'. (www.youtube.com/watch?v=hI8h...) The bored looking people are at least getting entertained by some dude with a placard
Someone at the Cuomo 'party' is holding a placard saying 'Curtis Sliwa is The Spoiler!'People are getting their selfies taken with him. On the other side of the placard it says

Cuomo = Capitalism

Sliwa = 11%

In 1999/2000 I wrote a WWI aerial combat game, along with an artist and a game designer. The artist I worked with was fresh out of a BA in Fine Art, and he wasn't very used to Photoshop, so he did a bunch of the textures in watercolor and scanned them in. Anthony Callaghan, you mad glorious bastard.

... and I was right! I asked it for the orca slicer download, and the first link it gives me is to a fake site. To be fair, it then tells me to download from GitHub, which is correct. It then warns me about fake sites and only to download from GitHub or the official site, linking to a fake one.
Important Notes:
Be cautious of unofficial download sites. There are unofficial websites that may contain malicious software or misleading information. Always download from the official GitHub or orcaslicer.net.

One of the things that amuses me about the papal conclave is that in a city of such amazing architecture and art, how pedestrian the chimney they use to deliver the smoke is.
