There just is no ethical way to use commercial LLMs. My problem with the industry is like 80% the companies, not the actual underlying technology. And yes, I know how sick we all are of hearing about it, I'm sorry to beat a dead horse, but the horse is a zombie and keeps coming back to life.

Most of the estimates I trust say that there’s enough money flowing through the system to keep the bubble inflated until early 2027, but it really has to give out after that. Of course, it could go sooner!

There is no perfect answer to daylight saving time. If we go to permanent standard time, summer sunrise will be at 4:10 AM. If we go to permanent savings time, winter sunrise wouldn’t be until 9:00 AM. I wouldn’t be thrilled with either one, though the summer sunrise would be preferable I think.

I saw The Who’s “Tommy” on cable in 1979. I was six years old and for some reason it scared the shit out of me, especially The Acid Queen. Then like two weeks later I saw the 1978 remake of “Invasion of the Body Snatchers” on cable, and that was even SCARIER 🙃
