as someone who's only interactions with the Pokemon world is through the trading card game, sometimes i forget that every card is a beautiful piece of art that deserves love and i love that Pokemon XP is showcasing these cards that most would throw away and call "bulk"

I really cannot think of a greater honor than to have the Muppets say this about you upon your passing

Instagram post from the official Muppets account: Few humans have earned the title of honorary Muppet more than the legendary Tim Curry. As a performer he was unparalleled - witty, charming, unnerving, and deeply funny. We will always consider it one of our greatest treasures to have been part of Long John Silver’s crew. Thank you for everything, Tim.

It can! We see it sometimes, like for example the ultra beast Pokemon cards are getting expensive since they haven't had cards since Sun and Moon era. Tentacruel has at least had recent low rarity prints that make this less of an issue.

Can we talk about how cool the reader series cards are?

This time around we have one of the creatures that lurk under the water, waiting to strike! When making this binder, I learned that Tentacruel barely has any cards! This one is by far my favorite, especially with now good the bubble foiling looks. Johto dex no.163 #Pokemon #pokemontcg

I think the last one I helped run was like 10-12 hours. Idk if things have changed but it's a long long day to run any event.

IMO, there's not really a shortage locally for people who want to play limited. It's really really good, and generally a great spot for newer players to interact. However, fab limited at a high level play requires extra steps that strain LGSs from doing much else that day which is a hard sale.

Bill 🎮 sovereign tower @thunderbillts.bsky.social · 14/08/2026

Part of it was that scheduling window was short (two weekends) and one of the weekends was a mtg prerelease. That was the biggest problem in my area. Plus limited being pushed. Limited is fun, but it's expensive, and a huge time commitment more than cc/sage.

Bill 🎮 sovereign tower @thunderbillts.bsky.social · 12/08/2026

Granted it was easier back in the day, when packs were still 3 for $10 😅 there's a reason I buy singles when it comes to Pokemon besides like, one prerelease a set.

The cosmic eclipse secret rare trainer arts are some of my all time favorite cards, and was a big point for me to get into not just play but to collect for art. I remember kicking it on a slow day at my old job going "ok, one more pack" trying to get these secret rares

Been looking for an excuse to pull out the old camera, My recent project has been a Gen 2 pokedex binder. I recently expanded it to have gen 1 in it, using in game dex numbers, so the kanto starters towards the end. One of my all time favorite arts! Might post more later #pokemon #pokemontcg

All it is 1 cup of cookie butter (which is most of a jar) .5 cup of sugar 1 egg Biggest expense is the butter which is like almost $8 here

Bill 🎮 sovereign tower @thunderbillts.bsky.social · 22/06/2026

Made biscoff cookies out of biscoff cookie butter, sugar and egg. Results in a crispy but also chewy delicious treat. The real of it, is that there's so much biscoff butter in there the calories are crazy. I made mine way too big as well. But I could see myself coming back to these.

Like why does Dunkin need the info of my first born to get a refund for a freaking muffin you didn't give me? I gave you the transaction number and other basic info. It shouldn't be more than that. I feel like this used to be a non-issue.

Bill 🎮 sovereign tower @thunderbillts.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

Not to mention, that process is often message support, but you have to go through our shitty ai customer service first.

100

Bill 🎮 sovereign tower @thunderbillts.bsky.social · 06/06/2026

Y'know what I don't get? Why refunds are suddenly impossible for a big company to send out. The last like 3 or so times I've had issues lately, the answer is "send a message to support" like, you have my info already, why do I need to file a form for something you cant do?

I'm sad it took me this long to switch to linux, this is such a better environment for me. I've considered the switch for years.

Bill 🎮 sovereign tower @thunderbillts.bsky.social · 24/02/2026

That's super fair. I've switched over to Plex fully(which I was already using) for media like movies and TV. I do library for books on the regular. Being intentional would probably help me 😅

A big part of this is an attempt to give big conglomerates less of my data and my time. I've cut Spotify, I every streaming service I was on and more. I'm throwing myself into being more conscious about it. I don't want to support genocides, billionaires, authoritarian regimes or the like.

Getting off windows and onto Linux. I've been using Windows as long as I can remember using computers. Gonna be a learnibg curve but I'm excited. Windows/Microsoft has gotten too big and keep bloating everything with AI and other crap.
