The streaming platform Twitch announced that Amazon is using Twitch users’ personal data to train AI models. Users who do not want Amazon to use their streams, images and other personal data can now opt out from this feature. The Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (AP), the Dutch data protection authority, is urging people to do so.

Twitch is an online video streaming platform and a subsidiary of Amazon. People mainly use it to live-stream the video games they are playing, whilst being on camera themselves as well. Other people can watch and chat with each other. The AP is concerned about Amazon using user data to train AI models.

The more I ponder what Mary said here, I think it is VERY important for those who don't like this EVEN IF YOU DON'T STREAM and want to send a message to Amazon on where the Twitch community falls in the genAI discussion to go in their settings and turn this off. Ok, second jumpscare... they're not bad, but I am very bad WITH THEM. Seems like this might happen for every new chapter/act? That's 1 thing so far I dislike about this. An option to turn those off and/or make them a bit nicer. I'm here for puzzles and mysteries, not for spooks.

So... I'm playing The Incident at Galley House, the new game from the Roottrees are Dead people (which is one of my favouritre games of recent years) and I'm taking notes... Besides 1 jumpscare so far, (which also MEANT something, I THINK?) I am having a great time with this game.

Obsidian gives a "Graph view" of your vault. Everything is blotted out besides my own custom "gathering" nodes. The graph is a MESS.
