🔥 UPDATE: Kosmos-2612 is now 81 meters from ICEYE-X36, and the predicted miss distance at closest approach is only 26 meters. That pass comes at 19:07 Kyiv time today. We reported the gap at 136 meters earlier.

I have shamelessly stolen this from the TNSC twitter. It shows the rollout of the H3 launch vehicle, with the Martian Moons eXploration (MMX) spacecraft onboard, from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad yesterday afternoon! It actually took about 30 minutes. (🚀 launch ~ 2 hours)

The EU took in 66 TWh of gas in the 7 days to 17 Oct, up 2% week on week and down 12% year on year. LNG supplied 24.1 TWh, Norway 19.3, North Africa 6.0, Azerbaijan 2.5, the UK 2.5 and others 1.3. Russian pipeline gas now only arrives through TurkStream: 3.8 TWh (6%).
Stacked bar chart of the gas entering the EU from 11 Oct to 17 Oct 2026 per entry country, in TWh (top) and as each origin's share (bottom), split by origin: Algeria, Azerbaijan, LNG, Libya, Norway, Production, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom. Pipeline imports are measured at the EU border, LNG at the terminals.

According to current orbital elements, the Russian #KOSMOS 2612 satellite is now within 1-2 km of #ICEYE-X36. Based on current elements, it might come within meters of the latter within a few hours from now. This is an #RPO without consent. (cont.)
