You can consent to harm in a fistfight, but the courts have ruled that if you continue after the person either taps out and ends it, or gets knocked out, then it’s criminal.

No harm no foul right? He agreed to the fight right? Or did it change when the third guy sucker punched? Or when the other guys jumped in to kick his unconscious body? Just a thought experiment.6/6

They both go outside and have your typical bar fight. The other guy, let’s call him Biff, starts insulting Brad, and wants to fight both of them. The fight continues. Biff is losing, but a little to proud to back down, so keeps going, even though he really doesn’t want to anymore.2/6

A thought experiment Let’s say someone picked a fight with someone else at a bar. They were both a little drunk, and probably not in a position to make great decisions. They decide to take it outside. The first dude, let’s call him Chad, grabs his buddy Brad to just watch his back. 1/6

The only people sillier than the people who won’t hire someone for showing up to a job interview because they brought an iced coffee (while not caring about a hot coffee) are the people who show up to a job interview with anything other than a hard copy of their resume. My 2¢.

It’s weird. When you elect someone who thinks government should work for the people, they set out to make government work. And that includes making sense budget wise. Ottawa take note. So called ‘conservatives’ and ‘common sense’ folk always cost you more in the long run.

A trans man in the UK has been banned in the workplace restrooms after he was forced to use the women's restrooms to comply with the new EHRC guidance. The women complained because he is visibly male and so they told him he can't use any bathroom.
A screenshot of a Reddit post from the r/LegalAdviceUK subreddit by user Dijstraanon, titled "FtM transgender facing two different issues at work? England."
The post text reads:
"Brother in law is trans FtM and presents fully as a man. He's now facing an impossible situation at work with his employer telling him that due to recent legislation he must use the toilet of his birth gender. BUT several female colleagues have raised a grievance about him using their gendered toilet.
His employer has told him that he cannot use the toilet while he is at work until they sort it out and cannot give him a timeframe to do so. They do [cut off] have disabled separate toilets.
In the mean time one of his female colleagues has accused him of sexual harassment because he was used their gendered toilet. His menstrual cycle meant he needed to use the toilet.
He's been with the employer for just over 5 years but only in this location for 18 months. The location is mainly male with just a handful of females, and his workshop only has male toilets.
I do not know how to support him and as he's not in a union there is no one to turn too right now."
The post has an orange "Comments Moderated" tag, 169 upvotes, and 134 comments.

One thing I wish people would realize is just how central JK Rowling is to the entire anti-trans ecosystem. Looking at a network node analysis of the top 200 anti-trans X accounts, she is the most central figure spanning both sides of the Atlantic from Republicans to Labour.
A network graph visualization on a dark background showing connections between various accounts. The central, highly connected node is labeled "J.K. Rowling," with lines radiating out to many other nodes color-coded by region (UK, US, etc.). A detail panel on the right displays stats for her account, including her role as "Author & commentator," an in-degree of 153, an out-degree of 84, and 14 million followers.A scatter plot graph on a dark background comparing accounts based on "followers (log)" on the x-axis and "in-degree" on the y-axis. The data points are color-coded by region. J.K. Rowling is highlighted as a major outlier in the top right corner, possessing the highest number of followers and the highest in-degree. Other labeled points lower on the graph include various politicians, individuals, and campaign organizations.

People are turning down highly-paid jobs working on H Potter related productions. They are giving up six/seven-figure sums on principle, because the money raised will be used to harm trans people, including trans children. Yet you can’t give up playing a game, watching a movie or buying a book...?
