Pure joy. Hey @schiekapedia.bsky.social, just had a reader who bought both issues yesterday come bsck today to tell me he read them last night and loved them. He loved the pages where the action told the story without needless dialogue. He said he'd pause and re-read his favourite pages.

One #makingcomics preference @schiekapedia.bsky.social and I share is that the cover should always reflect the actual story inside. @thistlethecomic.bsky.social Issue One is filled with fire and fantasy. You can buy Issue One now via my Profile. Look for the continuation of the story in 2025...

2022, 30 days before launching my @thistlethecomic.bsky.social Kickstarter I had to pause, rebuild. Next Kickstarter wasn't until 2024, we didn't fund. I printed anyway. #impostersyndrome means easy to think it's long odds of turning this story into a series. So I wore the t-shirt. Let's f- go.

This is the final push. In Thistle Issue One you will read how an Elf Ranger survives destruction of all around him, and the loss of those all around him. You can read how he pushes on in the face of hopelessness to seek his victory. You still have time to read that story. Still time for hope.

Thistle Issue One has three days remaining. We have reached 30% funding and attracted a dozen new Backers in a very short period of time. Just like our Elf Ranger Thistle, time is running out. This is for all who support indie comic projects, and want to read our love letter to Sword and Sorcery.
