Day 1 of @kelownacomicon.bsky.social in the books. Sold some comics, played D&D on stage with the Dungeon Dudes, Anjali Bhimani and Ty Olsson. Even gave a young TTRPG'er advice on being a Dungeon Master. Not bad for this Canadian kid. Looking forward to meeting more comic book fans tomorrow.

I was a college professor while building my comic book career. 18 years of double full-time: teaching _and_ comics. I kept teaching even when I started getting Big Two work because I'd seen too many peers rise and crash and didn't want to hitch my stability to an industry with a high failure rate.
