A little over halfway done with my third ball of yarn, and halfway through my rounds! I have four more balls, so hopefully I have enough. Worst case scenario, I cut the blanket short. No big deal! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ #crochet

Happy Caturday 🐾🤍

A black fluffy cat with huge round eyes and a curious expression looks directly upward at the viewer against a warm beige background. Above the cat is the text: “Whatever happened, happened. And because it happened, the present moment became exactly what it is. If our present is exactly what it had to be, then I was always going to be here. You were always going to be looking at me. And my tummy was always going to be empty. This was never a coincidence. This was destiny. This is bigger than both of us. Feed me.

I love how BTS model this gentle, affectionate version of male friendship and brotherhood that's so different to a lot of the hypermasculine shallow backslapping stuff you see on TV.

Okay, I will preface this with the GIGANTIC disclaimer that I promise I know how this looks, and I *swear* this is not personally motivated: If you have an old #LiveJournal account, and it has things you still care about in it, download it or import it to Dreamwidth SOON. Details:

Look what I found on the WashPost! They recommend "Are You Sure?" as one of 11 Comfort TV Shows...

11 comfort TV shows to get you through the cold days ahead

Showing the YouTube trailer of "Are You Sure?" with Jimin and Jungkook

Too much text, but it starts "You don't need to be a fan of BTS to appreciate the low-stakes mellow vibe of this docuseries...The two may be global superstars, but their adventures are cheerfully mundane; major plot points include Jungkook falling from a canoe, Jimin getting an upset stomach, and an extended water-gun fight." Streaming on Disney Plus.

I leave the rest of this #namkook to your imagination.

BTS's Jungkook leaning against a wall next to a brightly colored painting. He's wearing distressed jeans with the knees all but torn out and an untucked white dress shirt under a silky burgundy jacket. He's standing with one knee bent and is looking inquiringly into the camera.

BTS's Namjoon sitting with his back against the same wall Jungkook was leaning on (you can see the painting in the background). He's wearing a very shiny green-ish jacket and right leans with an interesting attachment on one leg, some combination of metal hoops and straps on his upper thigh. He's got one arm draped over his bent knee and is smoldering at the camera.

I don't know who needs to hear this, but you can *give* a man a fish and *teach* him to fish as well. It's not a zero-sum deal. He's hungry now, so give him the damn fish, and then once his hunger is taken care of, I dunno, maybe show him how you did that?

I've a few published stories to my name and write at a geologic pace. My only advice about finding a writing community, is to treat yourself and others kindly + with transparency. You should be able to ask questions. You should be able to feel safe. I've been very lucky and I want the same for you.
