I'm excited to announce that my debut novella comes out next year from @thisissplice.bsky.social. This is a strange little book about a detective, a hoax, a fictional language, and a place that doesn't exist (or does it?). It has two halves that unfold in parallel, on the left and right pages.

I know precisely the moment in Nathan Knapp’s Daybook that I became absolutely fascinated, & it was on p 23 when a woman’s (not the character’s new wife’s) “majestic” breasts are described. I know I know..but it really was a “what on earth is going on here?!” moment, & is vital to what follows. 5*!

Nate Knapp’s DAYBOOK (Splice, 2024) is outstanding — one of the strangest, most exciting & poignant books I have read in some time

The second novel we published this year was Greg Gerke's "In the Suavity of the Rock", "a mesmerising exploration of how we depict memory through storytelling and how memory depicts us" (Christina Tudor-Sideri). In the UK you can get it for £11.99 plus postage, here: www.paypal.com/instantcomme...

We published two stunning novels earlier this year. First up was Nathan Knapp's "Daybook", "an absolutely one-of-a-kind book that held me rapt from the first word to the last" (Ben Loory). UK readers can get it with a couple of clicks, £10.99 plus postage, right here: www.paypal.com/instantcomme...

Happy to be up and running on Bluesky! Can we just leave behind the woes of the old platform and get back to what we were doing? For us, that's literature outside the mainstream: publishing the best we can find and shouting about it when it's coming from elsewhere.
